  • Reduce toxic waste by purchasing paints, pesticides and other hazardous materials only in quantities needed, or by sharing what is left over.
  • Buy concentrated products to reduce packaging.
  • Carry a canvas or other reusable bag when you shop. It eliminates the need to use the store’s disposable paper or plastic bags
  • Buy your produce naked. Fruits and vegetables come in their own packaging. They don’t usually need any more.
  • Avoid single servings because it is wasteful and expensive. More cost, more packaging, more waste, Please think hard before putting single-serving products in your shopping cart.
  • Look for products and appliances that are easy to repair. Often an appliance can be repaired to avoid throwing it away.
