Specialist for the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority (SVSWA) has completed
the certification in Management of Landfill Operations (MOLO) from the
Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).
Today’s solid waste industry presents
a very complex and changing landscape that demands a tremendous need for
cutting-edge information and methods on how to employ the best technologies
and management practices. This MOLO certificate recognizes that Hunter
has demonstrated the ability to meet specific standards established by
the SWANA Certification Board and places him amongst an elite group of
solid waste professionals both on a regional and national level.
SWANA is charged in advancing the practice of environmentally and economically
sound management of municipal solid waste in North America.
The Authority, formed in 1997, is a joint powers agency made
up of the cities of Gonzales, Greenfield, King City, Salinas, Soledad
as well as the eastern half of unincorporated Monterey County. They promote
the environmental health of the Salinas Valley through planning, public
education and management of an innovative solid waste system. The Authority
