Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority (SVSWA)
have elected officers for the 2003 calendar year.
The Authority’s Recycling Advisory Committee has also appointed members for the coming year. The Recycling Committee, an ad-hoc committee of the Authority Board of Directors, will be composed of the following community leaders:
The
monthly meetings of the SVSWA Board of Directors are open to the public
and are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Gonzales
City Council Chambers, 117 Fourth Street. The Authority, formed in 1997, is a joint powers agency made up
of the cities of Gonzales, Greenfield, King City, Salinas, Soledad as
well as the eastern half of unincorporated Monterey County. They promote
the environmental health of the Salinas Valley through planning, public
education and management of an innovative solid waste system. The Authority
